Suspect on the Run After Using Pizza Delivery to Lure Victim Outside

Dallas police are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a shooting that took place on March 1. The suspect allegedly used a pizza delivery service as a ploy to lure the victim outside before opening fire.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Sedona Lane and Dove Creek. Video footage shows the suspect, dressed in all black, waiting behind a wall adjacent to the victim’s garage. After the pizza was delivered, the suspect ambushed the victim as they opened their door, firing multiple shots before fleeing the scene and returning to shoot again.

Authorities report that the victim sustained eight gunshot wounds but fortunately survived the attack. Investigators believe the shooting was not random, as the victim had not ordered any pizza. This detail has led detectives to conclude that the incident was premeditated.

Details of the Attack

Detective Michael Bui outlined the circumstances, stating, “We believe this is a planned attack. The suspect searched the area, obtained the victim’s name to place the order online, and was aware that the delivery had to be under fifty dollars, required cash payment, and needed to be delivered.” Unfortunately, the victim’s Ring doorbell camera did not capture the event, and investigators are relying on footage from a camera located across the street.

<p"All we have is an unknown individual dressed in all black, and he fled in a silver 2024–2025 Chevrolet Trax," Detective Bui noted. He urged residents in the area to review their surveillance footage, hoping someone might have recorded the suspect's vehicle.
