A juvenile has been apprehended following a double homicide that occurred early Saturday morning near Round Rock, Texas. The incident, which unfolded in Williamson County, saw authorities respond to reports of gunfire in the 8900 block of Brushy Gate Cove around 2 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two men who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
After the shooting, the suspect barricaded himself inside a bedroom at the residence. Responding to the situation, Williamson County SWAT team members and crisis negotiators worked for several hours to defuse the standoff. The standoff concluded peacefully when the suspect surrendered around 6:30 a.m.
