The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed the capture of a fugitive from the Texas 10 Most Wanted list, Devonshae Aikeis Fisher, a known member of the Bloods gang. Fisher was apprehended in Travis County on May 21, 2026, following a short vehicle chase in Austin.
The 32-year-old was taken into custody near the intersection of MoPac Expressway and 45th Street after he failed to comply with a traffic stop initiated by officers from the Austin Police Department and the Texas Highway Patrol. The pursuit began when Fisher refused to stop his vehicle, prompting a chase that ultimately led to his arrest.
Assistance in the investigation was provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Taskforce, which included members from the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigations Division and a deputy from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
Fisher had been on the run since July 2024, when he violated parole linked to a previous conviction for unlawful possession of a firearm as a felon. Additionally, warrants for his arrest were issued in March 2025 in McClain County, Oklahoma, for bail jumping and failing to appear in court related to drug activity offenses.
His criminal history includes a 2012 conviction for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, resulting in a 30-month federal prison sentence. Fisher was also convicted in 2021 in Bexar County for unlawful firearm possession by a felon, for which he received a five-year prison sentence. He was paroled in April 2023.
The Texas DPS has noted that no financial reward will be provided through Texas Crime Stoppers for information leading to Fisher’s arrest, despite the organization typically offering cash incentives for tips that lead to the apprehension of fugitives on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list.
In 2026, law enforcement agencies have arrested a total of 36 individuals listed as Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives, including 27 sex offenders and five gang members. To date, $50,500 has been distributed in rewards for information leading to these arrests.
Individuals wishing to report tips can do so through several channels: by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submitting a web tip via the Texas DPS website, or using the Facebook tip submission link. All tips remain anonymous, and individuals will receive a tip number for reference instead of having to provide their names.
The Texas Department of Public Safety collaborates with local law enforcement to curate the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists, which include fugitives, sex offenders, and criminal illegal immigrants. Current lists, complete with photographs, are accessible on the Texas DPS website.
