The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced the arrest of its featured fugitive for January, Antonio Rodriguez Jr., following a tip received through Crime Stoppers.
Rodriguez, aged 28, was apprehended near Houston after law enforcement acted on credible information provided by a community member.
Law enforcement officials from the DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Texas Highway Patrol (THP), and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Apprehension Team collaborated to capture him in Pasadena. He was observed leaving an apartment complex shortly after the tip was received.
A reward from Crime Stoppers will be dispensed to the individual whose information led to Rodriguez’s arrest.
Rodriguez has a significant criminal history dating back to 2014, with convictions for offenses such as burglary of a vehicle, escape while confined, burglary of a building, evading arrest, and driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15. He was released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in January 2024.
Since August 2025, he had been wanted in Harris County for robbery resulting in bodily injury.
