Trinity Metro Provides Free Rides for Voters on Early Voting and Election Day

Trinity Metro is providing complimentary transit rides for Tarrant County residents to facilitate their access to polling places during the upcoming midterm elections. This initiative, named “Let’s Ride to Vote,” aims to encourage voter participation by removing transportation barriers.

The free rides will be available from October 19 through October 30 during the early voting period, as well as on Election Day, November 3. This offer includes all local transit services, such as Trinity Metro buses, TEXRail, Trinity Railway Express, On-Demand rideshare, paratransit, and Trinity Metro Bikes.

To take advantage of this program, riders do not need to present any identification or proof of voting. During the early voting phase, participants can use the GoPass app and enter the promo code VOTE26 to receive a complimentary Trinity Metro Local Day Pass. On Election Day, riders can simply inform their driver or train conductor that they are traveling to or from a voting location to secure a free ride.

Richard Andreski, the president and CEO of Trinity Metro, emphasized the importance of connecting people with vital services. “Connecting people to the places that matter in their lives is what we do every day,” he stated. “Let’s Ride to Vote! is another way we can make those connections easier for our customers. Voting is your choice. Getting there is on us.”
