Two Houston Police Officers Injured in Rollover Accident

Two officers from the Houston Police Department are currently recovering after being involved in a rollover accident on Friday afternoon.

The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Alabama and Almeda. When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they discovered the officers trapped inside their patrol vehicle, which had been struck on the side by another vehicle.

Following the impact, the patrol car rolled over and landed on top of another vehicle in the intersection. Fortunately, both officers were transported to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities confirmed that the drivers of the other vehicles involved in the crash did not sustain any injuries. However, details surrounding the accident remain unclear, particularly regarding fault. It has been noted that the HPD vehicle was responding to a priority call, with lights and sirens activated at the time of the collision.
