Arlington authorities are currently investigating a hit-and-run incident that resulted in injuries to a Minnesota Vikings fan following the Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday evening.
The victim, identified as Jordan Boll, sustained a spinal fracture when he was struck by a dark-colored pickup truck that was allegedly speeding through Lot B of the stadium parking area. Eyewitnesses reported that the truck momentarily halted before fleeing the scene. Police are now working to locate the driver using a license plate number provided by witnesses.
The incident occurred shortly after the game concluded, with a 911 call placed around 11:15 p.m. Arlington police have gathered testimonies from several witnesses who described the truck driving erratically before colliding with Boll.
Boll was part of a group of Vikings fans visiting Arlington for the game at AT&T Stadium. At the time of the accident, he was wearing an Adrian Peterson jersey, which has since been damaged beyond repair after paramedics had to cut it off during their response.
Now back in Minnesota, Boll is in the process of recovery and has shared that he is currently unable to bend down to tie his shoes. Just moments after the Vikings celebrated their victory, Boll and his friends were mere feet from their rental car when they heard the revving engine of the truck.
“All I remember was someone hitting my left side. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground with 20 or 30 people around me. I kinda blacked out after I got hit,” Boll recounted.
Upon his release from Medical City Arlington, Boll was diagnosed with a spinal fracture and a scrape along his side. Arlington police have confirmed their ongoing investigation into the hit-and-run incident that occurred off Stadium Drive.
Investigators are focusing on identifying the driver of the dark pickup truck, which numerous witnesses noted did not stop to assist Boll but instead sped away from the scene.
One of Boll’s friends, who remained at the scene to talk with police, reported that after the collision, the truck came to a brief stop for five to ten seconds before leaving the parking lot, during which time the friend provided a license plate number to the authorities.
Boll has expressed his intention to pursue legal action if the driver is apprehended.
