Dallas Fire-Rescue is in mourning following the death of driver and engineer Ted Carpenter, who passed away on what would have been his 48th birthday. Carpenter, a dedicated member of the department for 22 years, succumbed to stage four cancer.
Carpenter is survived by his wife of 25 years and two children, and he is remembered for his unwavering faith, resilience, and commitment to service. The department has expressed its sorrow over his loss, emphasizing the impact he had on the lives of those around him.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Dallas Fire-Rescue noted, “Ted touched countless lives with his faith, resilience, and optimism, and his passing is a tragic loss for both his entire family – biological and departmental. Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. RIP Brother.”
Since joining the department in 2002, Carpenter has left an indelible mark on his colleagues and the community he served.
