DALLAS – Oncor has reported widespread power outages across North Texas as a winter storm continues to impact the region.
By 4 p.m. on Sunday, approximately 19,561 customers in Oncor’s service area were experiencing power outages. The breakdown of affected customers by county is as follows:
- Dallas County: 991 customers
- Tarrant County: 568 customers
- Collin County: 46 customers
- Denton County: 22 customers
- Parker County: 4 customers
- Johnson County: 435 customers
- Ellis County: 39 customers
- Grayson County: 2 customers

Statewide Power Outages
Across Texas, power outages have exceeded 50,000; however, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) reports that the grid remains stable, with adequate power reserves available.
Reporting Power Outages
Customers can report power outages or check the status of previously reported outages through Oncor’s online reporting tool or by calling 888-313-4747. Those registered for My Oncor Alerts can also text OUT to 66267 for updates.

Downed Power Lines
Oncor advises that if their system detects an outage, they will be informed automatically. However, customers should still report outages by calling 888-313-4747 to ensure accurate records.
In the event of a downed power line, individuals are urged to avoid approaching the line or any objects that may be in contact with it, as this poses a serious risk of injury or death. If you encounter a downed power line, leave the area immediately and call 911, who will notify Oncor and manage the response until assistance arrives. Downed lines can also be reported at 1-888-313-4747.
