Decades Long Child Indecency Case: Authorities Urge Additional Victims to Step Forward

A man has been taken into custody in Montgomery County following accusations of decades-long child indecency. Authorities report that 65-year-old Leland Fleming faces two counts of Indecency to a Child.

The investigation began when deputies were dispatched to Conroe in early May after receiving reports of indecency involving a child. Upon arrival, they encountered three women who presented allegations of sexual assault against Fleming, with claims that the abuse occurred over several years, tracing back to the 1990s.

Further inquiries revealed that Fleming had been associated with various organizations, including religious ministries, children’s choirs, and homeschooling groups, during his time in Montgomery County. A warrant for his arrest was issued in late May, and he was subsequently located and apprehended in Arkansas. Fleming was transported back to Montgomery County, where he has been held without bond since June 25.

At this moment, additional details regarding the case remain undisclosed. Authorities are urging anyone with further information to reach out to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-538-5900, referencing case number 26A156874.
