DWI Arrest: Woman Collides with Travis County Deputy's Patrol Vehicle

In a recent incident in Travis County, a woman has been charged with two felonies following a collision with a patrol vehicle. The crash occurred in the early hours of October 3 on US 183 near Creedmoor Drive.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver was operating a Nissan Altima southbound on the highway when she veered onto the wrong side of the road. This reckless maneuver resulted in a collision with a Travis County patrol vehicle, which subsequently left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The deputy inside the patrol vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while the woman and her 8-year-old passenger were unharmed in the accident. The driver has since been arrested and is facing serious charges, including Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, classified as a second-degree felony, and Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger Under 15, which is a state jail felony.
