A tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening in Hunt County, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The incident took place around 6:45 p.m. on Highway 66, close to County Road 2112.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has identified the victim as 68-year-old George Bee. Preliminary reports indicate that Bee lost control of his motorcycle while traveling south on the highway, ultimately sliding into a ditch. At the time of the crash, he was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to DPS officials.
Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances that led to Bee losing control of his motorcycle, as the cause of the accident remains unclear.
