A teacher from Frisco ISD has been arrested on charges of injuring a student. Patricia Kemper, who is 54 years old and works at McSpedden Elementary School, was taken into custody following an investigation into allegations of physical assault involving a student.
The Frisco Police Department began their investigation after Frisco ISD reported the incident. Following the filing of charges, Kemper voluntarily surrendered to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office earlier this week.
Details surrounding the alleged altercation, including the identity of the child involved, remain undisclosed.
In a statement regarding the incident, Frisco ISD confirmed that Kemper has been placed on administrative leave and is barred from entering any district property. Since the allegations surfaced, she has not been on campus or in contact with students.
The district emphasized its commitment to student safety, stating that it takes such allegations very seriously. Frisco ISD has assured the community that it is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Frisco Police Department.
