Tonight, scattered showers are anticipated, with precipitation becoming more frequent early on Tuesday. Overnight temperatures will drop to the low 60s, accompanied by thick cloud cover and an uptick in rain from the southwest, driven by a coastal trough that is bringing in moisture.
Heavy rain is likely to coincide with the morning commute on Tuesday, prompting increased caution for travelers. The National Weather Service has issued a “marginal” risk for excessive rainfall in the area, indicating the possibility of isolated higher totals. This could result in brief street flooding in some locations during the heaviest downpours.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-80s by Thursday and Friday, with conditions remaining humid and predominantly cloudy. While rain will persist, it will become less frequent and more isolated.
