Salad and Go, the popular drive-thru salad chain, has announced the closure of all 41 of its locations in Texas and Oklahoma. This decision comes as part of a strategic shift to refocus operations in its original markets of Arizona and Nevada. Additionally, the company’s headquarters will be relocating from Coppell, Texas, back to Arizona.
The closure was confirmed in the fall of 2025, with plans indicating that Salad and Go will maintain at least 70 locations across Arizona and Nevada. Despite the exit from Texas and Oklahoma, the chain has expressed intentions to eventually return to these markets, although no specific timeline has been disclosed.
Reason Behind the Closure
Mike Tattersfield, who recently took over as CEO of Salad and Go after a decade at the helm of Krispy Kreme, explained the rationale behind this strategic move. In a statement, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the company’s core operations in Arizona and Nevada to ensure long-term success. Tattersfield expressed gratitude towards the team members in Texas and Oklahoma for their dedication and acknowledged the communities that embraced Salad and Go.
“After assessing our business, we made the decision to exit our Texas and Oklahoma markets and refocus on strengthening our core operations in Arizona and Nevada. This step positions Salad and Go for long-term success and ensures we are able to keep delivering on our mission of making fresh, nutritious food convenient and affordable. Texas and Oklahoma are important markets to us, and we intend to return when the time is right,” said Tattersfield.
