Harris County authorities responded to a serious head-on collision that took place on Tuesday evening on Sheldon Road, near Business 90. The incident involved two pickup trucks and prompted an immediate investigation.
Upon arrival, officials discovered a white F-250 and a Ford F-150 situated in the middle lanes of Sheldon Road, which is a two-lane roadway without a divider. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the F-250, a woman, veered into the northbound lanes for reasons that remain unclear, resulting in a collision with the Ford F-150, driven by another woman.
The driver of the F-250 was transported to the hospital by ambulance and, while her condition remains unspecified, she is expected to survive. In contrast, the driver of the F-150 was airlifted to Memorial Hermann in stable condition and is also anticipated to recover. Additionally, two passengers were present in the F-150, and authorities have indicated that they are expected to survive as well.
In the wake of the accident, Sheldon Road has been closed in both directions, and drivers are urged to avoid the area whenever possible.
