Houston Rodeo Unveils Exciting New Dress Code Policy for Attendees

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has implemented a new dress code policy for all attendees, effective immediately. This change is part of an updated code of conduct aimed at enhancing the experience for guests.

The updated dress code mandates that all patrons wear proper attire on the HLSR Show grounds, which includes shirts and suitable footwear. Officials reserve the right to deny entry or remove individuals wearing clothing deemed inappropriate or disruptive to the overall experience of other guests. Inappropriate attire encompasses clothing with objectionable material, such as offensive language or graphics, excessively torn items, visible undergarments, and garments that expose excessive skin, which may not be suitable for a family-oriented environment. Additionally, any clothing, visible tattoos, or insignia that represent affiliation with a criminal street gang is strictly forbidden. The policy also specifies that clothing that obscures the face is not allowed, unless it is for cultural or religious reasons, or due to a medical condition.

Rodeo officials stated, “This is a family-friendly event, and we expect guests to act accordingly, including wearing appropriate attire and demonstrating behavior that reflects the spirit of the Rodeo. To reinforce that expectation, we have updated our dress code within our fan code of conduct. Every guest agrees to this code when purchasing a ticket to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and it is also clearly available on our website. We want every patron, especially young people, to have a safe and memorable experience. Disruptive behavior or inappropriate attire will not be tolerated as it detracts from the enjoyment of the millions of families who attend.”

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will continue through Saturday, March 21, culminating with a performance by Tim McGraw on the star stage. The following day, Sunday, March 22, will feature a concert by Cody Johnson, alongside special guests Jon Pardi and Randy Houser. While there will be no RodeoHouston competitions on that day, the grounds will remain open for carnival activities, dining, shopping, and more.
