HOUSTON – Houston’s weather is set to be warm and humid this Monday as we kick off the week. The region will experience afternoon highs in the upper 80s, with Gulf moisture continuing to flow into Southeast Texas.
On Monday, expect isolated to scattered showers throughout the day. Additionally, there is a heightened risk of rip currents along the coastal areas, so beachgoers should exercise caution.
Starting Tuesday, a more dynamic weather pattern will emerge as deeper moisture and disturbances make their way into the area. This change will lead to an increased likelihood of scattered showers and thunderstorms as we move toward the weekend, with some potentially stronger storms developing later in the week.
As the weather shifts to a wetter and more unsettled pattern, expect a reduction in temperatures. By mid to late next week, highs are predicted to drop to the low 80s, marking a departure from the near 90-degree temperatures. Along with these cooler conditions, heavy rain and thunderstorms may occur.
