HOUSTON – A chilly and windy Wednesday is in store, making it essential to wear a jacket before heading out. While the morning temperatures are not as cold as Tuesday, the winds will pick up later in the day.
The forecast indicates a dry day with wind gusts reaching up to 30 mph this afternoon. Expect northwest winds sustained between 15 and 20 mph, accompanied by plenty of sunshine and high temperatures approaching 70 degrees.
As the day progresses, the reinforcing cold air from the passing front will lead to significantly cooler temperatures overnight. Thursday morning is expected to start with lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. Despite the expected sunshine, afternoon temperatures may struggle to reach the 60-degree mark.
On Friday, a brief warm spell will see temperatures bounce back to near 70 before another cold front moves in, setting the stage for a cooler weekend.
