In a heartwarming display of generosity, a FOX 26 viewer has stepped up to assist a young man with Cerebral Palsy by donating $1,000 for a new wheelchair, following a heartfelt appeal from the young man’s family.
Randy Hartley, known for his charitable contributions, including support for animal shelters, felt compelled to help after learning about Anthony Lascano’s challenging situation. His donation aims to provide Anthony with a wheelchair that is more suitable for his needs.
Anthony’s aunt, Maria Zavala, shared the difficulties they faced with his current wheelchair, explaining, “The wheelchair that he has, he was slipping. It was hard for us to get him in the chair because he would slide out. It was too big.”
Upon receiving the generous check, Anthony’s joy was palpable as he expressed his gratitude, saying, “I appreciate everybody in this house.”
FOX 26 reporter Randy Wallace was present to witness this touching moment as the check was presented to Anthony, highlighting the impact of community support in changing lives.
