Halloween Weather Forecast: Increasing Rain Chances in Houston

HOUSTON – Southeast Texas experienced another lovely day, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-80s under a sky dotted with passing clouds. However, those with allergies should take caution as ragweed pollen levels are high.

Rain is set to return next week, as a weak front approaches the region. The likelihood of showers will increase by Friday, extending into Halloween Saturday. While it is still early to determine the exact timing for trick-or-treating, Friday appears to carry the highest chance of storms, and some rain is expected to linger into Halloween.

In the Atlantic, conditions remain calm for the next several days. However, a weather system is impacting the Southwestern Coast of Mexico. Tropical Storm Vance is anticipated to cause coastal flooding and strong winds in areas like Jalisco and Michoacán. Additionally, Tropical Storm Olana has developed in the Eastern Pacific but is not projected to make landfall.

As we approach the end of Daylight Saving Time on November 1st, remember to set your clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. After this change, sunset will occur around 5:30 p.m., with sunrises shifting to approximately 6:35 a.m.
