One individual has lost their life and another has sustained injuries following an altercation that escalated into a shooting incident in southeast Fort Worth. Authorities reported that the event occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the 4100 block of East Berry Street.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a man who had been shot. Despite the efforts of first responders to administer aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, a second victim was located after arriving at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. Fortunately, this individual’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The name of the deceased has not yet been disclosed, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
