SUN CITY, Texas – During the ongoing investigation into a double homicide at a residence in Sun City, a person of interest has also been linked to an incident at a Domino’s in Georgetown.
Recent court documents reveal details surrounding the attack that occurred on Saturday shortly before noon. Authorities report that Justice Washington visited the Domino’s located at the intersection of Scenic Drive and University to pick up a pizza. However, moments after exiting the establishment, he returned, seemingly disoriented.
Witnesses indicated that Washington became involved in a confrontation with the manager and an employee at the Domino’s. Following the altercation, he was located in the parking lot of a nearby Tex Mex restaurant, less than a mile away. After being assessed at a hospital, he was subsequently taken into custody at the Williamson County Jail.
Washington now faces three charges: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault causing bodily injury, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The vehicle he was driving is connected to the ongoing homicide investigation, as it belonged to one of the victims.
The car in question was owned by 76-year-old James William Yost, who was discovered fatally stabbed in his home on Friday night. In addition, Yost’s 33-year-old housemate, Kenneth Michael Wade Clanton, was also found dead at the scene.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the deaths of the two men from Georgetown. Their bodies were discovered after police and fire personnel responded to a fire alarm at a residence on Pipe Creek Lane on December 5. While a person of interest has been detained, formal murder charges have yet to be filed.
Details surrounding the circumstances of Yost and Clanton’s deaths remain limited as the investigation progresses.
Currently, Washington is held at the Williamson County Jail with a total bond set at $535,000 for the multiple charges he faces.
