Gunman Opens Fire on Crowd Outside Dallas Halloween Party, Leaving Man Seriously Injured

A man is in serious condition following a shooting that occurred late Saturday night outside a Halloween party in the Red Bird area of Dallas. The incident unfolded after a confrontation between two groups, which culminated in gunfire as a vehicle sped away from the scene, according to police reports.

Officers from the Dallas Police Department responded to the shooting at approximately 11:51 p.m. near 100 West Laureland Road, close to the southbound service road of the South R.L. Thornton Freeway. Upon arrival, they faced a large and agitated crowd while they worked to secure the area. The police discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Thankfully, he is expected to survive, although his condition remains serious.

Initial investigations reveal that a substantial gathering was taking place for the Halloween celebration when a dispute erupted between two factions. As one group departed in a vehicle, an occupant fired into the crowd, hitting the victim multiple times. Detectives are currently investigating whether the victim was specifically targeted or simply a bystander caught in the ensuing chaos.

At this stage, no arrests have been made, and the suspect’s vehicle has fled the scene, leaving investigators with limited leads.
