HOUSTON – The Houston Astros have extended an invitation to utility player Cavan Biggio to join their spring training roster following his agreement to a minor league contract.

Who is Cavan Biggio? The backstory:

Cavan Biggio was selected in the fifth round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, hailing from Notre Dame University. Throughout his Major League career, he has also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, and Kansas City Royals, with the Royals being his latest team, where he participated in 37 games.
