McKinney ISD Athletic Trainer Faces Serious Allegations of Sexual Offenses Against Student

An athletic trainer employed by McKinney Independent School District (ISD) has been taken into custody following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student.

The trainer, 35-year-old Lindsey Post, was arrested on Wednesday after reports surfaced regarding inappropriate communications and interactions with a student at McKinney North High School.

McKinney ISD confirmed on the same day that Post serves as an athletic trainer for the high school and has also held similar positions at Cockrill Middle School and Scott Johnson Middle School.

The district became aware of the allegations against Post on Tuesday and promptly notified state education authorities as well as local law enforcement.

The McKinney Police Department has reported that Post faces charges of sexual assault of a child and an improper relationship between an educator and a student, both classified as second-degree felonies.

In light of the ongoing investigation, McKinney ISD has placed Post on administrative leave.

Records indicate that there is only one licensed athletic trainer named Lindsey Post in Texas, whose license has been expired since November 14, 2025, as per the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this case to reach out to the McKinney Police Department, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services at 1-800-252-5400, or McKinney ISD’s Title IX Coordinator, Alana Chisum, via email at achisum@mckinneyisd.net.
