One year has passed since the tragic loss of Terrell Police Officer Jacob Candanoza, who was fatally shot during a routine traffic stop. In remembrance of his service and sacrifice, approximately 100 individuals came together for a candlelight vigil, honoring his memory and the impact he made in the community.
The vigil took place as the suspect charged with capital murder awaits a plea negotiation hearing scheduled for January. The gathering served as a poignant reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face daily and the unwavering support of the community for Officer Candanoza’s legacy.
