Houston Weather Update: Heat Advisory Continues Tuesday with Storm Chances This Week

Houston is bracing for another day of extreme heat, as a heat advisory remains in effect for Tuesday. Residents can expect temperatures to soar to near-record levels, with heat index values potentially reaching 105 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit during the afternoon hours.

As the week progresses, isolated storm activity is anticipated tomorrow; however, the most significant chance for rain will arrive on Thursday. Increased moisture and a weak area of low pressure moving in from the Gulf are expected to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Looking ahead to the weekend, while temperatures will remain high, the weather is projected to be slightly less humid, providing a bit of relief. Rain chances will diminish, leading to mostly sunny conditions with highs in the low to mid-90s.
