Mysterious Vandal Disrupts Power Supply to Multiple Food Trucks in NE Harris County Storage Lot

Multiple food truck owners in Humble, Texas, are expressing their concerns for their community following a recent incident where an intruder targeted a storage lot, damaging essential electrical infrastructure. Early Thursday morning, the suspect used bolt cutters to sever power cords at the Porky’s Backyard storage facility, affecting several food trucks.

The incident occurred at the Porky’s Backyard Food Truck Park, located along Atascocita Road near Timber Forest Drive. Business owners reported that nine food trucks were impacted, with five experiencing complete cuts to their heavy-duty power and generator cables. A deputy from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, but the suspect had already fled on foot towards a nearby apartment complex. No arrests have been made at this time.

The damage to the electrical lines left food truck owners scrambling to protect perishable goods and maintain their operations. Without power for refrigeration, cooking equipment, and point-of-sale systems, the financial implications could be severe.

Security footage captured the suspect, described as a woman wearing short shorts, a hoodie, and a beanie, moving through the lot with large bolt cutters in hand. “It was strange to see her weaving around aimlessly while cutting the cords and placing them on a cart,” noted Austin Wolf, co-owner of Porky’s.

One of the food truck owners, Dennis Hagans of Chicken Coop HTX, received a security alert on his phone while preparing for his morning shift. He quickly rushed to the lot to assess the situation and protect his equipment. “It’s important to look out for one another,” Hagans stated, emphasizing the community aspect of their business operations. His presence reportedly startled the intruder, prompting her to leave before causing further damage.

While the financial burden of replacing the heavy-gauge cables will be significant for the property owner, the disruption to daily operations is of greater concern for the food truck community. Wolf highlighted the broader impact of the incident, stating, “Missing a shift means spoiled food and lost wages for employees who rely on their jobs to support their families.”

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Burglary & Theft Unit at 713-274-9200.
