Caldwell County Deputies Discover Human Remains Near Luling

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the discovery of human remains located outside Luling, Texas. These remains were found in the 1400 block of Biggs Road, prompting deputies to work on identifying the remains and determining any possible links to ongoing missing-person investigations.

In their statement, the sheriff’s office noted, “Additional examination is being conducted to determine if identification is possible and if there are any connections to known missing-person cases.”

Renewed Interest in Jason Landry Case

This recent finding has reignited interest in the 2020 disappearance of Jason Landry, a Texas State University student. Landry was en route from San Marcos to Missouri City for the holidays when his car crashed into a tree along Salt Flat Road, a remote dirt road in Luling. While his vehicle, phone, and clothing were recovered, there has been no sign of him since.

Over the years, Landry’s family and community volunteers have organized numerous searches in the vicinity of where he went missing. The remains were discovered near the intersection of Biggs Road and Salt Flat Road, raising questions about any potential connection to Landry’s case.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has not confirmed whether the remains are linked to Landry’s disappearance, nor have they been officially identified.
