Traveler's Cart to Close Montrose Location After Nearly Two Years of Service

Traveler’s Cart in Montrose has announced that it will permanently close after service on Friday, July 31, following nearly two years of operation since its opening in October 2024. Patrons are encouraged to visit for one last meal before the restaurant shuts its doors.

Located at 1401 Montrose Boulevard, Traveler’s Cart was a globally inspired street food venue that emerged as a spin-off from the award-winning Traveler’s Table. The team behind the restaurant is urging the community to come by and celebrate the memories created there.

Ryan Browne, the Director of Operations, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support received from the community. “We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported Traveler’s Cart. While saying goodbye is never easy, we’re choosing to celebrate everything this restaurant has meant to our team and our guests. We hope the community will join us for one last meal before continuing the journey with us at Traveler’s Table,” he stated.

The culinary experience of Traveler’s Cart will continue at its sister establishment, Traveler’s Table, which will remain open. Guests can explore a new menu, partake in an around-the-world brunch, and enjoy the special offerings during Houston Restaurant Weeks.

As preparations for closure are underway, management is actively assisting employees in finding new positions within the Houston restaurant scene. Some staff members will transition to Traveler’s Table, while others are seeking new opportunities. Local restaurant owners interested in hiring available staff are encouraged to contact Browne directly via email.
