In a communication regarding the situation, the company explained that at approximately 3 p.m., a power outage affected their boilers, leading to the flaring and visible smoke. The Operations team is currently addressing the issue and is in the process of safely restoring power. They are also working to restart the boilers to mitigate the flaring impact. Air monitoring is being conducted in and around the facility to ensure the safety of employees, the surrounding community, and the environment.
