A miniature horse breeder in the Houston area is appealing for help in locating his cherished horse, Peanut, who was stolen from his property on July 23. The incident, captured by a neighbor’s surveillance camera, showed a white truck allegedly enticing the rare horse through an unlocked gate.
Terry Jordan, the owner, shared that Peanut holds significant sentimental value, as the horse was born during his battle with Stage 4 cancer. Peanut became a beacon of hope for Jordan during his treatment, providing him with motivation to continue fighting through his illness. While Peanut’s unique small stature and striking dark blue eyes contribute to his monetary worth, Jordan emphasizes that the primary concern is simply to have his horse returned safely.
Reflecting on the theft, Jordan expressed the emotional toll it has taken on him, stating, “Can’t sleep, can’t get your mind off of it.” He revealed that he has kept horses for over four decades and previously had 13, but now is left with only 12 after Peanut’s disappearance. His bond with Peanut is profound, and he openly invites the individual who took the horse to return him without fear of repercussions, saying, “Bring him back home. I’m not going to ask any questions whatsoever.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Peanut’s whereabouts to reach out to the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers, as the search for the missing miniature horse continues.
