A tragic shooting occurred early Friday morning in the Houston Heights area, resulting in the death of a man. The Houston Police Department is actively investigating the incident to uncover the circumstances surrounding it.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., police officers responded to reports of a shooting on West Cavalcade Street, near the intersection of Northwood Street. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male who had sustained gunshot wounds at a METRO bus stop. Unfortunately, first responders from the Houston Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.
Lieutenant A. Ali from the Houston Police Department indicated that a vehicle was involved in the shooting. Investigators are currently canvassing the surrounding neighborhoods for surveillance video that could provide insight into the events leading up to the tragic incident.
As of now, the identity of the victim has not been released, and details regarding the circumstances of the vehicle’s involvement remain unclear.
